++++ TRICKY WOMEN 2011: Call for Entries!

We are happy to announce that the 8th edition of Tricky Women AnimationFilmFestival will take place in Vienna 10th - 14th March, 2011. Tricky Women is the first and only festival of animated film that is dedicated exclusively to animation by women.

• The festival offers an international competition of animated short films realised by female artists and produced in 2009 or 2010.

•  The deadline for applications for the preliminary selection is 30^th October, 2010.

•  Awards:
  Tricky Women Award of the City of Vienna worth 4,000 Euro
  Synchro Film & Video Material Prize worth 1,500 Euro
  Hubert Sielecki Award worth 500 Euro (for Austrian animation)
  Audience Award

We proudly present our Best of Tricky Women_5 DVD which offers varying, animated screenlands and gives you an overview of this year’s festival. The fifth Best of Tricky Women DVD features the festival’s audience favourites and award winners. From nature studies, documentary works and fiction to artistic creation, pregnancy fears, the clichés of TV crime series and unusual love stories – these fascinating films cover a wide spectrum of topics and genres.
