Dear friends and colleagues,

Anilogue 2011 is now open for submissions. We welcome narrative, experimental, and documentary animated films, completed after January 1, 2010. The animated short film competition is open for European films of under 20 minutes in length; the feature film competition for films from across the globe and above 50 minutes in length.

This year's Anilogue entry deadline is September 15, 2011. Entry forms and festival regulations are available for download www.anilogue.com. Alternatively, forms may also be requested by email by writing to info@anilogue.com. There is no entry fee.

The organising team of Anilogue welcomes all animation friends to participate also in person. Anilogue 2011 will take place from November 23 to December 1 in Budapest and Vienna.

AltArt Foundation calls for European projects to be developed during a 2-3
weeks artist-in-residence in Cluj, Romania. During the residence the
selected artist is expected to undertake research and work on the
production of an artwork that "remakes" a piece of media art relevant for
the media art history. The artwork will be exhibited in 2012 in Cluj
(Fabrica de Pensule) and Brno (House of Arts).
 
Summary of the call:
 
The selection is based on the proposal of an original artwork that will
comply to the general thematics of the REMAKE - Rethinking Media Art in
K(C)ollaborative Environments project and will be produced during the
artist-in-residence period.
 
The artist is expected to:
Produce the artwork proposed in the application. The artwork should be
mainly produced during the artist-in-residence period and needs to be
finalized no later than one month after the end of the residence period.
 
Give a public lecture/presentation during his/her stay in Cluj, either on
the topic of the artwork proposed for REMAKE, or a previous work of the
artist.
 
Period of residence: 2 to 3 weeks, during 19 September-15 November 2011
The selected artist will receive:
artist fee of 1000 EUR
production budget of 300-500 EUR
access to working space within Fabrica de Pensule, a collective space for
contemporary arts in Cluj (www.fabricadepensule.ro)
accommodation in Cluj
international travel coverage

Description

A hybrid media organisation, onedotzero has been at the forefront of digital culture for the past 15 years. Critically acclaimed for producing the most innovative digital arts festival onedotzero_adventures in motion at the BFI Southbank, followed by an international tour.
As part of the annual onedotzero_adventures in motion festival at the BFI Southbank, 23-27 November, onedotzero is looking for 40 top creative graduates to take part in their award winning education platform onedotzero_cascade this October and November 2011.
Cascade is aimed at developing a new model for creative collaboration and innovation across diverse disciplines to foster personal and professional development in those who are about to embark on a career in the creative and cultural industries.
Through a series of workshops and activities led by some of onedotzero's most innovative partners, creators and featured artists cascade has built a reputation for offering inspiration and insight, practical advice and first-hand experience in a fun and energetic environment.
This year, cascade takes place between 21 to 28 October in London. By applying to this programme you agree to commit 100% to the dates of the workshop and the festival presentation.
Cascade is open to all UK and international graduates and it is free to apply and participate.
